95 kg to 70 kg.
When we first spoke, she had already been trying to lose weight for years.
She was exercising regularly and had even been training with a personal trainer in the gym. The problem wasn't that she wasn't putting in the effort.
She was.
But despite all that training, she wasn't getting the weight loss results she wanted.
By the time we first spoke, she was understandably sceptical. After trying for so long without seeing much change, she wasn't convinced that another programme would suddenly make a difference.
The first thing I explained to her was simple:
We didn't need more exercise. We needed to get her nutrition right.
She Was Already Training So More Exercise Wasn't the Answer
A common mistake people make when weight loss isn't working is simply trying to do more.
More workouts.
More cardio.
More steps.
More restrictions.
We didn't do that.
She trained only three times per week, mostly at home using dumbbells she already had available.
There was no need to spend hours every day in the gym.
The training had a purpose, but the biggest change we made was somewhere else.
The Biggest Change Was Her Nutrition
Her previous nutrition wasn't properly structured around her weight loss goal.
Instead of putting her on another generic or extremely restrictive diet, we built her nutrition around her actual lifestyle.
That meant looking at the foods she enjoyed, what she could realistically prepare, her normal routine and what she could continue doing for months rather than just a few weeks.
This was important.
A meal plan can look perfect on paper, but if somebody hates following it, eventually they will stop.
The goal wasn't to give her the hardest diet possible.
The goal was to give her a system she could actually follow.
Once we got that right, we started seeing progress from the very first week.
From 95 kg to 70 kg
From there, we simply kept going.
There was no magic week where everything suddenly changed.
We followed the plan, monitored her progress and made adjustments when they were needed.
Step by step, her weight continued to come down.
Eventually, she reached 70 kg a total loss of 25 kg.
That was the goal she had been trying to reach for years.
But reaching 70 kg wasn't where I wanted the coaching to end.
Losing 25 kg Wasn't the Biggest Win
For me, the biggest success isn't simply that she went from 95 kg to 70 kg.
It's that she now understands how to maintain 70 kg.
Anybody can follow a very restrictive diet for a short period of time.
The harder part is learning how to eat, train and live after the diet is finished without slowly gaining all the weight back.
Throughout the process, I wanted her to understand what worked for her, how to manage her nutrition and how to adjust things when life changes.
She didn't just lose weight.
She learned how to manage the result.
That is the real transformation.
